Destination Snapshot — Monitor Event Delivery Across Destinations

Destination Snapshot provides a detailed summary of all events sent across the destinations connected to your CustomerLabs account. It helps you trace the journey of events sent to different destinations. You can view an overview of all destinations, a specific destination, or a specific destination with a specific event.

Before you begin tracking and monitoring events, ensure the following requirements are met:

  1. An active CustomerLabs account with at least one destination (e.g., Facebook, Google Analytics 4, or Google Ads) connected.
  2. Administrative access to your website’s Google Tag Manager container.
  3. Proper configuration of events within the CustomerLabs dashboard.

Section titled “Analyzing Event Flow with Destination Snapshot”

Access the Destination Snapshot to view the success and failure rates of events sent to your connected platforms.

In your CustomerLabs account, navigate to MonitoringDestinations Snapshot.

The dashboard offers two primary perspectives:

  • Graphical View: Visualizes the total number of events sent, categorized by success and failure percentages, for your selected time range.
  • Tabular View: Provides a detailed data structure of the events sent, including specific success metrics and log data for every connected destination.

You can drill down into the performance of individual destinations using the following steps:

  1. Click on the name of the Destination in the table, or select a specific destination from the filter dropdown menu.
  1. The graphical view will update to show success/failure data for the selected destination over the chosen time range.
  1. In the tabular view, click the View Logs link to inspect the raw transmission logs for the chosen destination.
  1. Click on the Event Name in the table to view the Event Transformation Summary, showcasing how the data was mapped for that destination.
  1. Click on the Source Event button to backtrack the data journey. This action opens the Event Overview menu, allowing you to audit the original source data.
