CustomerLabs + Gist (ConvertFox) Integration

Gist (formerly ConvertFox) is a customer engagement platform that combines live chat, behavioral email, and automation to help businesses communicate with customers at the right moment. Integrating CustomerLabs with Gist forwards unified user traits and behavioral events into the Gist workspace, enabling personalized on-site messaging and email workflows based on first-party customer data.

Authentication is handled via a Workspace ID retrieved from the Gist tracking code settings.

  • An active CustomerLabs account
  • An active Gist account with access to Settings

In your Gist account, navigate to Settings → Tracking & Events → Tracking Code. Locate and copy the Workspace ID from the tracking code snippet.

Configuring the Gist Destination in CustomerLabs

In CustomerLabs, navigate to Destinations from the home screen. Search for Gist (ConvertFox) and select it from the list.

  1. In the pop-up screen, click Enable, then open Configuration Settings.
  2. Paste the Workspace ID copied from Gist into the designated field.

In the User Identify ID field, select the identification method:

Click Save Changes. The Gist destination is now active. CustomerLabs will begin forwarding user traits and behavioral events to your Gist workspace, where they will be available for live chat targeting, segmentation, and automated messaging.
