This guide walks you through the complete setup process step-by-step, ensuring seamless event tracking, accurate attribution, and improved ad performance.

By integrating Reddit with CustomerLabs, you can:
- Automatically track and send conversion events to Reddit
- Improve attribution accuracy using server-side tracking (CAPI)
- Build high-intent custom audiences for remarketing
- Maintain compliance with data privacy and Limited Data Use (LDU) policies

- Admin access to CustomerLabs Dashboard
- Admin access to Reddit Business Account
- Access to Reddit Ads Manager (with Events Manager permission)
Section 1: Initial Setup
Step 1. Navigate to Reddit Integration
- Log in to your CustomerLabs account.
- From the left menu, click Destinations.
- Go to All Destinations.
- Scroll through the list and select Reddit.

Once selected, the Reddit Integration Setup Page will open. Enter a name and save it.
Step 2. Authenticate Your Reddit Account
- On the Reddit Integration page, click Configuration Settings.

- A Reddit authentication pop-up will appear. Log in with your Reddit Business Account credentials.
- Click Allow to grant CustomerLabs permission to manage your Reddit connection.
- Select your Business Account, then the Ad Account, and finally the Pixel you wish to connect.

Note: Only one Reddit destination can be created per website because Reddit does not allow multiple pixels for a single site. Ensure you select the correct pixel during setup.
โ
Once authenticated, you will be redirected back to CustomerLabs with a confirmation message.
Step 3. Understanding the Account Structure
| Level | Description |
| Business Account | Represents your main organization account in Reddit. |
| Ad Account | Each Business Account can manage multiple Ad Accounts for campaigns. |
| Pixel | Each Ad Account has its own Pixel used to track events and conversions. |
๐ก Tip:
Each Pixel is unique to an Ad Account. Choose the correct Pixel for your campaign tracking to avoid attribution mismatches.
Step 4. Generate and Connect the Conversion API Token
The Conversion API Token allows CustomerLabs to send event data directly to Redditโs Conversion API.
- Log in to your Reddit Ads Manager.
- From the left panel, go to Reddit Events Manager.
- In the Reddit Events Manager, click Conversion API.
- Give a name to the API and Click Generate Token to create a new API token.
- Copy the generated token.
- Return to the CustomerLabs Reddit integration page.
- Paste the token into the Conversion API Token box.
- Click Save Configuration to establish the CAPI connection.
โ ๏ธ Important:
Ensure the correct token is used. Expired or invalid tokens can stop event syncing between Reddit and CustomerLabs.
Step 5. Map Event Fields (Advanced Settings)
Field mapping ensures that CustomerLabs sends the correct data parameters expected by Reddit.
- In the Advanced Settings section, verify the field mappings.
- Match your CustomerLabs event fields with Redditโs event parameters.
๐ก Example:
If you have โEmailโ in CustomerLabs but โEmail IDโ in Reddit, map them manually to avoid event mismatches.

โ ๏ธ Important:
Incorrect mappings can cause conversion errors or missing data in Reddit Ads Manager.
Step 6. Enable Enhanced Conversion Tracking
Enable Enhanced Conversion Tracking to improve event match rates and optimize performance.
- Toggle Enhanced Conversion Tracking to ON in CustomerLabs.
- This allows CustomerLabs to send hashed user data (email, phone, etc.) for better event matching.

๐ก Tip:
Enhanced conversions help Reddit identify users who interacted with your ads but didnโt convert immediately.
Step 7. Configure Limited Data Use (LDU)
If your business operates in U.S. states where Limited Data Use (LDU) regulations apply:
- Enable the LDU toggle in CustomerLabs.
- This ensures your data sharing complies with Redditโs and state privacy regulations.

โ ๏ธ Important:
LDU compliance is mandatory in certain U.S. jurisdictions. Enabling this ensures that user data is processed with restricted usage where required.
Section 2: Sync Audiences
You can create first-party audience segments in CustomerLabs and sync these audiences with Reddit in just a few clicks.
Once synced, these audiences can be used for personalized retargeting ads on Reddit.

Section 3: Verification and Testing
Step 1. Verify Connection
After completing the setup:
- Go to CustomerLabs Dashboard โ Destinations โ Reddit.
- You can also check under Connected Destinations
- If the connection fails, re-authenticate or re-enter the Conversion API Token.

Step 2. Send a Test Event
Navigate to Events Manager in Reddit Ads.
- Look for incoming events under your connected Pixel.
- Trigger a test event from CustomerLabs (e.g., Purchase or AddToCart).
- Confirm if it appears in Redditโs event logs.
๐ก Tip:
Event delivery may take a few minutes to appear in Redditโs Events Manager.
Step 3. Monitor and Debug
If events do not appear in Reddit:
- Check field mappings under Advanced Settings.
- Ensure the Conversion API Token is valid.
- Reauthenticate the Reddit connection if required.
โ ๏ธ Note:
Misconfigured mappings or expired tokens are the most common causes for missing events.
