Using Facebook ads to reach lookalikes of your sales-qualified leads

·

·

Lookalike Audience on Facebook is a way to reach new people who are likely to be interested in your business because they’re similar to your best existing customers.

Creating lookalike audiences is one of the most effective & commonly used demand generation strategies. However, creating lookalikes of the ‘right’ audiences can considerably boost your marketing efforts.

What do we mean by the right audience?

Common lookalike audience options for marketers include people who’ve visited high-value landing pages or CSV uploads of existing customers since access to real-time CRM data is often forbidden or requires a developer to get the required customer data.

But in this playbook, let’s see how you can use your CRM data to create effective lookalike audiences of your sales-qualified leads without writing a single line of code.

Step 1: Get your CRM data flowing into CustomerLabs CDP

CustomerLabs CDP integrates with popular CRMs such as HubSpot, Freshsales, Pipedrive and more.

Here’s a quick video explaining how you can connect your HubSpot with CustomerLabs CDP.

  1. Navigate to Sources & Choose HubSpot from our Sources catalog
  2. Now authenticate HubSpot by following the steps here
  3. Post authentication, create separate workflows to bring in your contact, company & deal data from HubSpot
  4. Filter incoming data to weed out irrelevant information
  5. Based on the event type, all your CRM data will now be synced with CustomerLabs CDP

Step 2: Activate Facebook as a Destination in CustomerLabs CDP

You will now be able to receive event, user & account data from HubSpot as and when updates are being made. All you have to do now is simply activate Facebook as a Destination in the CDP.

Here’s how you can connect & activate Facebook ad account.

Step 3: Create a Custom Audience on Facebook

CustomerLabs CDP will send your CRM event, user & account data to Facebook in real-time. You can even see the quality of the data being sent in the Event Match Quality section.

For this playbook, let’s see how you can group your sales-qualified leads.

Log in to your Facebook Business Manager and navigate to Audiences > Create Audience > Custom Audience > Website

Choose the CRM event name from the list of events,

Click on ‘Refine by’ and choose the lead stage & hit Create Audience

Post saving this audience list, go back to Audiences > Create Audience > Lookalike Audience and choose the created custom audience list as the source of your lookalike.

In this way, you can create lookalikes of more relevant audiences using your CRM data. Implement this playbook in less than 30 minutes by signing up for a trial here
